In the fall of 1968, thirteen students and three professors from Yale University embarked on an expedition to Las Vegas — the world's capital of vulgarity and poor taste, a nightmare for architects of that era. It was a time of strict and minimalist architectural forms, social ambitions, and the high mission of the architectural profession.

The results of this modest student research were summarized in the work "Learning from Las Vegas." This book is a new edition of the classic work that became the main manifesto of postmodernism. "Learning from Las Vegas" rehabilitated ugly and ordinary architecture and forever changed perceptions of beauty and functionality in urban spaces.
